Migrating to the New File Server


Having trouble with the new shared drives?

Follow the preliminary steps below to access the drive...

 

1) Verify you're on AU's domain:

 

• Click on start, right click on Computer, and select "Properties."
• Verify au.aurora.edu is listed by "Domain."  If not contact ITS.

2) Verify your policies are updated:

 

• Save & close any programs
• Click Start > Run > cmd (OK)
• Type: gpupdate /force
• If prompted, type: Y (enter) which will log you off and apply policies

3) Restart your machine.

 

NOTE: If having problems logging in to Novell, verify your settings are correct.
